When I went to college I knew I loved 3 things: I loved Food, Sports, and Jesus. I hoped to discover my purpose, and, as it turns out, I found a career that allows me to embrace all three!

Some would say I have a lot of “Energy” . I think it’s really that I just get excited about most things in life. But because of that I have more hobbies than a sane person should, and I love nothing more than doing my hobbies with my friends and family.

Two of my favorite hobbies EATING and COOKING! Few things bring me more excitement than to make a fancy meal for my friends. But my relationship around food hasn’t always been healthy, for most of my 20’s, I lived in fear of eating eating "too much" fat or sugar constantly trying to burn all of it off with excessive exercise. I didn't realize that, as an athlete, these are vital for performance.

In my early 20’s I started coaching soccer for a club team in Kentucky, and, like every other hobby, I LOVED it. Teaching the game I grew up playing and being around all the athletes again brought me so much joy. Nearly a decade later, I'm still a coach,  and I love watching my players learn new, grow,  and develop new skills throughout the season.

So I have shared my love for food and sports- but where does Jesus fit in? In my practice all are welcome, but for those that desire, I incorporate God into the journey. We explore how our Creator designed our bodies to eat-not just for nourishment but also for joy. That means embracing foods that excite us, like cookies, brownies, or French fries, because, truly, those are gifts from above. By leaning into our relationship with God, we can begin to heal our struggles with body image and food.

Don’t get me wrong- this work isn't easy .But it's worth it. Imagine going out to a restaurant, ordering what sounds good, and enjoying it without guilt or shame.

So why choose me to work with? When you tell me your schedule is crazy- I get it, I am still living in the crazy schedule era too. I also know what it feels like to be a female athlete who feels like her body is the "wrong" size, only to realize we are all uniquely designed. Working together, we'll problem-solve, explore the challenges around food, and figure out why increasing intake or eating more can feel so hard.

In this work, we focus on kindness, grace, and grit. Kindness because I know you are working your butt off to do what I am asking. Grace, when it doesn’t work, or life gets busy and you don’t meet all the goals. And Grit, because as an athlete we are born with this ability to lean into the hard and push. But here the goal is to heal our relationship around our body and food that can only happen with GRIT.
